The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia is a guide from the federal Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations for early childhood educators. It helps foster excellence in childhood learning.
A guiding framework
Key ideas about how to work with young children are set out in a series of principles and practices, in addition to learning outcomes. However, The Early Years Learning Framework is not a curriculum or syllabus. Rather, it gives educators a guide for children’s learning, development and outcomes.
Raising the bar
We meet the standards for early childhood education.
Meeting the National Quality Framework
Early childhood education has 7 quality areas and 18 standards, as well as 58 elements.
Summer Hill Children’s Centre proudly meets all the National Quality Framework, mandated by the Commonwealth and State Governments.
