Summer Hill Children’s Centre came into being in 1976. In fact, it was an initiative of the parishioners from the Ashfield Uniting Church.

In 1991 the Uniting Church Children’s Services Forum began resourcing and overseeing numerous children’s services. Indeed, this included Summer Hill Children’s Centre.

Today, we are overseen by our approved provider, Uniting Early Learning.

For today and the future

Summer Hill Children’s Centre is committed to providing facilities and programs that ensure a high level of care, education and welfare of the children in our care. We endeavour to educate all children irrespective of their race, religion, gender, philosophy, cultural background or other diversity.

We will always meet a range of family and children’s needs, in addition to cooperating with other organisations sharing our philosophy.

We take pride in encouraging parent and community involvement in the Centre’s activities.
